MONT ALTO, Pa. — Penn State Mont Alto Disability Resources recently hosted clients from the Frederick County Scott Key Center for a campus visit, offering them a firsthand look at college life. The Frederick Scot Key Center supports adults with developmental and intellectual disabilities, and this visit provided them an opportunity to learn more about Penn State and the Mont Alto campus.
During their visit, Scott Key Center clients met with the admissions department, took a guided campus tour, and enjoyed lunch at the Millstream Café. They also had a chance to interact with passing professors, engage with the food service staff and — one of the biggest highlights — get their picture taken with the Nittany Lion mascot.
The visit was a success, with one of the chaperones later sharing their gratitude: “You guys truly went above and beyond to make our visit off the charts amazing! We all thoroughly enjoyed your college and all that you offer and deliver with such caring and kindness. Our clients could not stop talking about our visit the entire way back to our center.”
